SantaCoHoHo

I've been working on some secret projects over in New York City for the past 2 weeks with my people. All I can say is that you better be on my "nice" list!

Thanks Urbanblitz for the pic. More to come. We've been having lots of adventure in AMS and NYC!

A Balancing Act

So, Im travling with my parents in Amsterdam right now. It was tough at first getting over this thing they keep calling jet leg. It~s funny becuase my legs seems fine, its just that I~m so tired and want to nap all day and then get up at night.
Anyway, we spent a few days in Amsterdam and then went on a train and visited Bart and Alies, some good friends of my Auntie Miriams in a little village near Zwolle. I loved riding on the train. And I loved entertaining Bart and Alies by balancing plates on my head.

Youngest Hooper Ever?

I'm not sure if there are records for this sort of thing... yet!
But, I'm sure I will be hooping by the time I'm 2.

All Bundled Up

So, it really winter in Homer, now! Mom's been getting me all bundled up before I go outside. Luckily, my Grandpa Darryl brought me back a leather vest from Mexico that fits me just perfectly. My fuzzy hat also keeps me pretty warm.

Latern Walk

I go to this great Waldorf School, and last night we had a Lantern Walk to celebrate the waning winter light. All my friends were there! That's me asleep on Papa - I did eventually wake up to join in the fun. Petal is getting a ride from Bronwyn. That's little Bea walking with her lantern and Erin with the apple candle.

First Snow of the Season

It finally snowed the other day! The flakes were teeny tiny (like me!) and Ollie and I tried to catch them with our tongues and on our face.

Sit in a Kayak?

I just figured out that I can post videos on my blog!

So, here's short video of me and my papa in the boat harbor, one of my very favorite places.

First Day of School

A couple of weeks ago I started going to school! I go to the Raspberry Lane Waldorf School one day a week for about two hours. I love it! All the toys are made of wood or cloth. We get to bake bread together and eat it. And my teachers are really nice and read lots of stories about the seasons and dragons. Sometimes during storytime I scoot closer to one of the cute girls in school and try to sneak a kiss from them.

Mom thought it would be fun to take School Pictures of me and papa, so that's what these pictures are... though papa looks like he's about to go to jail, not school!

Jesse and Ingrid

My mom's friend from Juneau, Jesse, just sent us a picture of her with her baby, Ingrid. Little Ing is SO cute, and I really want to meet her!

Mom, can we go to Juneau to visit Jesse and Ingrid, pleeeeze.

Goodbye Gillian

My good friend Gillian just moved away. I'm really going to miss her. We had a lot of fun together. Goodbye Gillian. I love you.

Woolly Mammoth

I don't know if you can see it or not, but there's a woolly mammoth in this picture. What can I say? I live in Alaska - you just never know who you will see on the playground.

Driving the Tractor

There's a playground that I love to go to that has a huge tractor that you can drive All By Yourself!

Soymilk: It does a body good

Whenever my mom goes to the coffee shop, I have her order a little something special for me, too. There's nothing like a little espresso cup of soy milk to get to ya' going in the morning!

Ahh, Summer...

As we quickly turn to fall... and winter (!) here in Alaska, I thought I'd take just a few moments to remember the lovely days of summer. It was a delicious and colorful time, a time to eat smoked salmon and throw water balloons. A time to catch up with old friends. As we enter this colder, darker season let us remember how glorious our summer was, and know that summer will return again.

Fishing with Papa

Up here in Alaska, we fish with nets. I got to ride around on my papa's back while he tended to the net. Good thing too, he needed my help!

Words, words, words

Though I have strangely had the power to type in full sentences ever since I was born, I am just now acquiring the ability to string words together verbally.

So, a conversation with me goes something like this:

"Truck! Papa! Truck!"
Is that your truck?
"Yeah, yeah" nodding. "Seat, seat, seat, seat!"
You want to have a seat on your truck?
"Yeah! Moose, see?" showing me a toy cow. "It's a moose!"
That's your moosecow?
"Seat back."
You want to have a seat on your moose?
"Yeah! Walk, walk, walk!" walking him on my leg. "Boat!"
You love boats, I know.
"Yeah, Hudson, boat! Hudson!"
You want to go with Hudson on a boat?
"Yeah! Boat! Papa! Boat!"

And so on....

Hoopin' it Up

My mom has this Hoop Group every week, so my friends and I hang out in the park and play with hoops. It's pretty fun.

I like to get free rides, and carry around the big hoops. Grover is content to just hang out, and Hudson is already able to spin the hoop around him.

Oh, my mom says that I should tell you that her website cosmichoops.net will be up in a few weeks, and you should check it out if you want to order one of her awesome Cosmic Hoops!

Pop Art Baby

Tonei gave me this to remember him by. I guess that means that he misses me. We sure had a good time together in Anchorage!

Happy Birthday Mama!

My mom just turned 21!

(Oh, actually she says she's now 31. ) Who knew?

Lots of people say that Mama and Grandma look alike.
It think it's true, but I never have a hard time telling them apart.
They are both beautiful!
